The Cass County Historical Society presents the Antiques Appraisal Fair! A 2-day fundraising event benefiting the historical society, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Cass County, Indiana.September 23 “An Evening with Scott Keller” CCHS Main Office - 421 E. Broadway 7 - 8 pm Doors open at 6:30 pm Light refreshments Member entry free $10 entry at door, non-members Scott is a well known senior appraiser with Blackard and Geiger of Indianapolis and has previously appeared on the PBS production “Antiques Roadshow.”*** Join us for this entertaining and insightful evening of remarks and stories from Scott as we gear up for the Appraisal Fair on Saturday. September 24 Cass County Historical Society Antiques Appraisal Fair CCHS Main Office - 421 E. Broadway 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tickets for appraisal of an item with one of our appraisers are sold in time slots. When ordering, please choose a ticket that reflects what time you would like to arrive at the Appraisal Fair. Appraisal ticket (1 item) $30 Non-Member Entry (no appraisal) $5 at door Member entry only free Raffle Table Two appraisers, outstanding in their field, will be appraising items at the fair. Works of fine art (engravings, etchings, lithographs, oils, watercolor, sculptures, etc.), antiques, pottery, collectibles, documents. No fine jewelry. If looking to have a larger item or furniture piece appraised, please bring a quality photograph in lieu of the piece itself. J. Scott was President of The Decorative Arts Society for seven years, and President of the Asian Art Society for two years, both at The Indianapolis Museum of Art/Newfields. Scott also taught courses in art history of the decorative arts for fourteen years at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis. Dave Ripley is a third-generation Indianapolis art and antique professional, with extensive experience owning a retail gallery and from his internationally-acclaimed auction house history.
