Hey y’all, the Veggie Mijxs LA Chapter is excited to announce our next event: OPEN BOOK! Open book was born from what an open mic night is all about: creating a safe space to share art and inspire others while uplifting the community! We want to bring our Veggie Mija’s community together to share about their current readings–we would like to highlight BIPOC authors, because their work is critical to our communities–so, bring your book, maybe mark a special page/excerpt to read out loud if you feel comfortable or share how you found the book, why it was exciting to read it, and what did you learn from it. We can’t wait to meet again and hear about the amazing books y’all will share with us on Saturday August 27th at 4:30 pm! After the open book, we will have a vegan potluck. If you would like to bring something to share with the community you are more than welcome to!
