As you know, Dr. Kent Scribner‘s last day as superintendent of Fort Worth ISD is August 31. This leader has rendered remarkable service to our community, and especially our children. Now he enters a well-deserved retirement from the active superintendency.
Under Kent’s leadership, we have successfully launched two school bond programs totaling almost $2 billion! Our children’s schools needed dramatic improvement, and Kent got it done. Furthermore, he has rendered remarkable service during the most hostile environment for public education in our lifetime.
Now, it’s the time to thank our friend for his service.
There will be a luncheon in Kent‘s honor on August 31, 11:30 AM to 1 PM, at Broadway Baptist Church, 305 W. Broadway Ave.
Join us as we thank our friend for his seven years of service to our Fort Worth children.
