COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy demonstrated that time has not fully healed the wounds many African-Americans have about vaccines. However, a group of Black female physicians in Raleigh decided to help close the racial gap in Covid 19 vaccination rates. They vaccinated over 7,000 people in the Southeast Raleigh area, a so called marginalized community. Meet these AWESOME doctors and help us recognize them as our 2022 Honorees for their contribution to the Southeast Raleigh community. This annual event will help the Southeast Raleigh Community Learning Center meet their goal of $10,000.00 to help sustain our FREE, award-winning afterschool and summer programs for students grades K-high school in the Southeast Raleigh area.
