Liberty Arts invites you to learn how our beloved Major the Bull was made on Thursday Sept 8th on The Roof at The Durham Hotel! Major was sculpted by artists Mike Waller & Leah Foushee Waller, then cast in bronze. The sculpture was created from start to finish in Durham at Liberty Arts, a Studio and Foundry dedicated to creating experiences that enhance artistic growth and community building through creative practice and collaboration. Liberty Arts is is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; we've partnered with StanUp-SpeakOut (SUSO), another local nonprofit organization that provides direct care and outreach advocacy services for families, child survivors, and witnesses of gender based violence by providing holistic therapeutic services through Integrative Art Intervention. Our goal for this event is to raise funds to support our new arts education program with SUSO. Tickets for this event are $50 each. Proceeds will support Liberty Arts outreach efforts. A raffle ticket is included in the ticket price. Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Cash bar. A huge thank you to The Durham Hotel for their generous donation and making this event possible.
