Join Wildlands Trust and "Trail Guy" Malcolm MacGregor on a 6-mile hike around Plymouth's Great South Pond. This hike goes through forests, along the pond's shore, and down neighborhood roads for a complete loop around one of Plymouth's largest ponds. We'll traverse steep and varied terrain through Wildlands Trust, town of Plymouth, and Department of Conservation and Recreation properties. Sturdy boots and long pants are strongly recommended and don't forget snacks and plenty of water! Space is limited to 10 participants, advanced registration required. A waiting list will be activated when it fills. This hike is for experienced hikers - you must have experience hiking 10 miles or more over varied terrain. You MUST register by 8:00 pm on 4/9/21. Must be 18+ years of age. Please read all details before registering. Group size is limited to 10 participants. There will be a waiting list to join when the program fills. We are adhering to state guidelines for COVID-19. Please read rules carefully before buying your ticket: • Participants must be FULLY VACCINATED in order to participate. • Participants must register in advance. • Participants must agree to the Wildlands Trust COVID-19 terms and conditions for outdoor programs, as provided during Eventbrite registration. • If a participant or someone in their household is ill, has symptoms associated with COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days, or is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, they are asked not to attend. • If a participant becomes ill within 7 days following their participation in the class, they should contact Director of Field Operations, Erik Boyer at: [email protected]. • These programs are weather permitting. If a program has to be cancelled due to weather, attendees will be notified via email the night before. Hike rules:- - Pets are not allowed - You must come properly prepared (see above). For the safety of the group, we reserve the right to refuse hikers who show up underprepared. - Positive attitudes and cooperation: This is a social experience. We hike together & stick together as a group at the pace of the slowest member. Positive & cooperative attitudes only. - Difficult weather may cancel and/or modify the event. We will notify registered participants of any changes as decisions are made. Parking:  Meet at the Armstrong Arena parking lot (103 Long Pond Road). This will be the beginning and end point of the hike. Facilities will not be available so please plan accordingly.
