Would you like to read a story to a senior citizen? Volunteer with the Metro East Literacy Project to celebrate both National Senior Citizen Day and National Grandparents Day. We are pleased that this event is back after a two-year hiatus. You will choose from a selection of picture books featuring relatable senior citizen characters. Or, you may bring your own favorite grandparent story. You will read a story one-on-one or with a small group. You don’t have to be a professional storyteller. Just be yourself. You'll have fun. Oh, and bring a dozen cookies to share if you can. Thank you.
