Please don’t be afraid to donate your spare kidney. Hi, I’m a 62 yr old female from Northern Va who is in desperate need of a living kidney donor. Any surgery has risks, but, donating a kidney is one of the best things you can do to save a life and you will live a healthy, normal lifespan with your remaining kidney. My mother in law lost one of her kidneys when she was in her early 20’s. She has 5 healthy adult kids and is doing quite well at the age of 83! My insurance pays for your surgery and hospital stay. A donor is usually out of the hospital one to two days after surgery. I may be able to assist with time lost from work.
