Description
To whom it may concern I write this letter on behalf of a friend that resides in Anaheim. He is homeless currently and has been homeless for a while living in his truck which was parked at the library in Anaheim about a week ago. It was reported stolen. Some people claiming to try to help him jump start it decided to take off with it. It's the only home that he and his dog have. He has no family, no financial support at the moment and has now had to go from sleeping in his truck with his dog to now sleeping in front of the library on the ground. A couple days ago Santa Ana PD informed him that his truck was located in Santa Ana however it was already at the tow and mo impound. Santa Ana police failed to notify him at the time of it being pulled over to give him the chance to pick it up. he doesn't have the money to retrieve the truck out of the tow yard and every day that costs are going higher and higher I understand from what I've read that it was Santa Ana Police department's responsibility to notify him upon retrieving the vehicle back from the person that it was stolen from and give him notification and time to come retrieve the vehicle before they called the tow truck company tow truck company and they are just completely rude to him they hang up on him telling him "come on bro just pay the bill and you can have your truck back" and everything he owned every dime to his name was inside the vehicle when it was stolen. It's just kind of messed up to have your vehicle stolen for one and then two to be called and told it it has been located yet you still can't have it because now you have to pay the trophies for it being towed when he should have been notified ahead of time to come and pick up the vehicle at the location it was pulled over at..long story short I'm just hoping that someone can maybe reach out to either the tow truck company who has a history of being real not so nice people to the community and to Santa Ana Police department for not doing their job and following up with him and letting him know that his truck was recovered it's not only his truck it's his home and he and his dog sleeping in the concrete floor in front of the library in Anaheim is a little unfair when all it would have taken is one simple phone call to let him know that his vehicle had been recovered and given the chance to come pick it up thank you for your time and hopefully something is resolved in this situation look forward to hearing back from you thank you once again my information is at the bottom and I can be reached anytime day or night Thank you, Rayanne Flores
