Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Tech Department: Texas Reports To: Service Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Wage Grade: Grade One Approved Date: August 12, 2022 Summary: Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the building, the facility grounds (excluded lawn/landscaping), company-owned equipment/tools, and company-owned service vehicles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation and performance of the written facility maintenance schedule to include equipment/tool inventory and control, repairs, (either normal maintenance or failures), to the facility and grounds, or company-owned equipment with the ability to evaluate such repairs from a cost-efficiency standpoint. Keep grounds/ parking lot in a neat and orderly fashion, including litter pickup to include leaves and sidewalks. Clean and empty pet station receptacle. Responsible for Parts Runner duties which includes running for local parts pick-ups, dropping parts off for service and recovery, assistance with large parts inventory, etc. Responsible for housekeeping to include bathrooms and office, shop area, including windows and blinds. Report any safety hazards around the property and building to management as soon as noticed. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer/Office Skills: Scanning documents/filing. Answering multiple telephone lines in a friendly and professional manner, transferring calls and/or taking detailed messages.
