Using ingredients like liquid nitrogen & techniques like compression, we create dishes that dazzle your imagination & tastebuds. Branded "Food & Drink Entertainment", Chef Ian Kleinman & his staff produce sweets & treats that are unforgettably unique.  Catering by The Inventing Room is now looking for part-time cooks & servers with open availability in the evening & weekends to assist with catering events on an at-need basis. This is unique opportunity for someone with a strong motivation and commitment to learn new & fun techniques while interacting directly with guests. Join our catering team and you accept the events you are available to work. Job Summary Cooks - Assist in food production, assembly and execution of all recipes provided. Servers - Assist in set up, bussing, serving, maintaining tables, breakdown, etc Create memorable and positive “entertainment” experiences for our guests. Qualifications - Previous experience with a high volume restaurant and/or catering - Minimum two years experience in customer service related position - Knowledge of sanitation codes and ability to manage proper sanitation - Detail oriented and organized, strong ability to multitask - Must have good communication skills - Provide own transportation - Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trust - Strong motivation and eager to learn new skills Essential Functions - Ability to work and communicate one on one with customers - Able to lead by example, promote team work - Consistently maintains high standard of quality and visual appeal - Assists management with sanitation and safety - Willing to listen and embrace critiques on food from customers and staff - Requires an ability to reason and solve practical problems - Ability to handle high-pressure, stressful situations - Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude with a high energy personality - Ability to provide & demonstrate a high level of customer service Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, this employees is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This person must frequently lift/and or move up to 50 pounds. Hours & Wages Contract Labor- $125- $150 paid via Venmo following each event (plus tips, if applicable) Great gig work!
