The amount of green spaces and tree canopy coverage in a community have a direct impact on the health and overall well-being of individuals that live within the community. While slowly increasing, there is still a lack of these spaces in Detroit. For this Wonder Walk, we will be exploring some green spaces in the Hope Park neighborhood. We'll be meeting at and starting our walk at the Hope House garden for a tour of the garden that is maintained and utilized by the community. Afterwards, we'll convene across the street to enjoy the nature trail in the neighborhood. It's important to highlight these small gems that exist within our own communities so that all can enjoy them! Nature has many benefits that support our physical, mental, and spiritual health.
