Campaign Staff Needed - Hiring Immediately Full-time & Part-time - $20-24/hr + bonuses Help us protect democracy by registering voters in crucial districts in the Detroit Area. Our goal is to register and mobilize the electorate for key state legislative races. Michigan needs more Democrats represented in the state house and senate to ensure that marginalized voices are heard. Get paid well! Canvass positions start at a $20/hour base pay. In addition, we offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. All team members have the opportunity to earn an extra $150 per week for working 5 shifts in that week. Stay Safe! We have strict health and safety protocols that include a contactless approach to campaign work. We provide all of the training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you will need. All staff must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 OR receive an approved exemption through our HR department and submit weekly testing results. Canvasser Responsibilities ($20/hr): - Engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner - Deliver a compelling presentation and compel citizens to register to vote - Participate in staff trainings to improve your outreach skills - Strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines The ideal candidate is: -Charismatic, energetic, and passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy -Experienced with providing customer service; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing to speak with everyone -Goal-oriented, determined, motivated and able to see the bigger picture Prior voter registration experience is a plus but not required.
