JOB TITLE: Automated Gate Service Technician DEPARTMENT: Service / Production MANAGER: Service Leader WHO WE ARE: Signal Gates Inc is a Premier Automated Gate System Installation and Service Company Servicing 3 primary markets, Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. Service is a fundamental business focus. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: A Service Technician performs preventative maintenance and emergency service for automated gate systems. Daily activities include driving between sites and performing diagnostic tests and repairs electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems as required and assists with the same production systems installation as required. This position has a very high mix of technical requirements that are easily trained in small company that requires flexibility in assigned duties that support the organization. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safe Driving and responsibility for basic vehicle maintenance Prioritize and process service orders and repairs. Complete service order and other required paperwork daily Perform diagnostic processes to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems Perform diagnostic processes to troubleshoot mechanical components and systems Escalation and teamwork with repairs beyond working knowledge and repeat failures Welding if/when applicable All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Higher Preferred. Related experience will be considered, gate system or component or systems knowledge NOT required. We prefer to train the right candidates for long term success. • High School Diploma: 1-2 years of related construction or service experience will be considered. • GED: 3 or more years related construction or service experience. • Clean Driver’s License. Normal shifts are 8 hrs and include emergency service hrs. as required.
