I have a furniture delivery to make in Folly Beach tomorrow morning (8/12) starting at 9. Im hiring 2 strong guys to assist me with unloading and light assembly. 95% of everything is fairly lightweight and it’s in a Sprinter van/ Uhaul trailer I’m expecting the job to take 3-4 hours total but I am paying 5 hours minimum no matter how quickly it gets done. In addition there are some items the customer has in a pod on site that I agreed to take care of without charging additional for. I advised her to simply tip my helpers for the extra work. Also just for anyone thinking the tip thing sounds scammy, my customers buy from high end stores and pay for long distance transport and setup. It is not at all uncommon for them to flip everyone $50 or $100 for a job done right. So to clarify I’m guaranteeing $75 for up to 5 hrs of labor which shouldn’t take the whole 5 to complete and there’s going to be a tip in it for everyone.
