Posting for my roommate/good friend Mark who is starting college and looking for human housing for himself currently. This is Izzy. She’s a 1 and a half year old beauty!!! She was a rescue from one of Marks family members that he took in to give a better life. Before Mark rescued her, she was kept in a kennel, starved, and beat for days on end. She has a lot of pros but definitely needs more work on some of her negative habits/stressors, none of which are any fault of her own, or marks fault. Mark would work with this dog until his dog died if he could but cost of living with your furry best friend is wayyyyy too outrageous these days. (He’d give an arm and a leg for a place to stay with this dog but places are asking for even more than that…) Pros- Infinite snuggles Non stop laughs Has experience with basic obedience Quiiiick learner Dog friendly (with right introduction) Cat friendly Kid friendly Shadow dog (pro and con) Loooves car rides with window privileges Absolutely gorgeous Potty trained unless left alone too long (puppy bladder/stress). Crate trained The smallest big dog I’ve seen. She’s smalllll… Cons- 24/7 shadow dog… this dog has anxiety from how she was treated as a puppy. Will have occasional accidents out of protest if she’s left alone. Can show some dominance issues with other dominant dogs or if she feels like she will miss out on food/attention/treats. I would also attribute that to how she was kept as a puppy though. Will have a long drawn out conversation with you about how she’s the boss lol (she can get very talkative and snarky) She may wake you up to go potty around 4 some mornings. She needs someone always and mark would be that for her if he could but he has realized that there would be a more suitable home for her somewhere else. It has broken every bodies heart as she is AMAZING and we all love her to death, but there’s literally nothing we can do except rehome her. Mark is not looking for a fee… just looking for a very very loving home. Homes will be well screened as she is unfixed and definitely a designer dog mix breed, but money isn’t what we are looking for. Will be doing meet and greets with myself, mark, and Izzy.
