Howdy. I’m a decent rhythm guitar player and “pretty good” singer (I know… “who isn’t?” Sorry – that’s all I got). I’d like to form a band to play a mix of loungey country / jazz / western swing, etc. - Ray Price, early (pre-outlaw) Willie Nelson, jazz / western swing standards, etc. We can round-out the setlist with classic 50s-70s country stuff to keep people dancing. I’m working to improve my guitar playing and the kind of stuff I want to play is aspirational for me, so I’m looking for players who are OK with rehearsing for a while before gigging. What I’d really like to do is team up with a better lead guitarist and get some songs worked out, and then add other members - but I’m flexible. I have a family, mortgage, demanding day-job etc. so regular rehearsals and gigging a couple of times a month is about as much as I can handle. I’m 59, easy-going, and in it for the fun of it.
