Designed for the aspiring recordist, this Engineering Bootcamp will cover a range of topics and provide a baseline knowledge for how to engineer your own projects. Learn engineering techniques to apply in your home workspace, or kickstart your career as a freelance studio engineer!
This in-person class will run for four Thursdays in September: 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 from 6:30-8:30pm EST

Course includes:
• A 101 course in Avid Pro Tools
• Microphone Techniques for recording live instruments including drums, acoustic and electric guitars, and more.
• Analog audio theory and studio signal flow
• Techniques and best practices for mixing
Limited to 8 participants. No prior knowledge of recording software or equipment required.

ABOUT the instructor:
Mike Harmon started recording songs in 2001 on a Fostex MR-8 digital recorder and has been tinkering in studios since 2005. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (‘11) and started Wachusett Recording in 2013. Recording credits include work for organizations such as Netflix, Nintendo, Pure Noise Records, Rise Records, and artists such as Grain Thief, The Clements Brothers, Four Year Strong, Seaway, Like Pacific, Knuckle Puck, Versive, Dan & The Wildfire, Dumpster Debbie, and more. He is a performing member of the bands Grain Thief and The Clements Brothers where he splits his time between the studio and the road.
