Top Gun is looking for a painter who likes getting the job done right the first time to join our team. You will be responsible for painting mostly residential interiors. Responsibilities / Requirements - 3+ years’ experience in painting - Prepares and smooths surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, pressure washer or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting. - Removes fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting, using necessary tools - Keep a clean work area and spreads drop cloths over floors and room furnishings and baseboards, door frames and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. - Paints surfaces, using brushes, spray gun or paint rollers - Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level - Mask windows, floor and cabinets. Caulk and putty door jams, window sills and base boards. Stain doors, handrails and newels. Paint soffit, gutters and down spouts - Capable of working on high surfaces, climbing on ladders and scaffolding MUST HAVES - Valid Driver License - Able to work in the United States - Pass a background check - Speak and write English - Excellent customer service skills and do quality work
