Description

Rescued from neglect, this guy has a big spirit! I can't take care for him long-term - I'll be in both high school and college on the 29th. Being a doubletail he's already prone to back deformities. Being long-finned he's prone to buoyancy issues. His spine is shortened and kinked (known as 'Short Body') which causes the same issues. He arrived with cloudy eye and positive buoyancy disorder; he needed surgeries to fix his this as well as a fused fin rays that impaired his swimming capability. Luckily they were both successful! He couldn't swim for so long that he lost his strength and needs to gain it back to live a long, happy life. Unfortunately, his deformities are permanent. He may develop swimming issues again. For now he needs someone with a heart and patience. Pick him up in wolf ranch. I'm available most days/hours. Serious inquiries only. $1 adoption fee discourages bad folks to use him for...other reasons. He doesn't need to be "put down" - he will live a happy life with a loving family.
