Hello! The Horizon Ensemble is looking for string players for our fourth concert. We are a community orchestra made up of Boston-area students and professionals, and we perform music by friends alongside music from history. The ensemble is looking for string players, especially violinists! Rehearsals take place at the Church of the Covenant at 67 Newbury Street. The schedule is: Sunday, August 14: 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday, August 18: 6:30-7:45 PM Sunday, August 21: 6:30-8:00 PM Thursday, August 25: 6:30-7:45 PM Sunday, August 28: 1:00-1:30 setup, 1:30-2:45 dress rehearsal, 3:00 concert The program: Ben Nacar - Dodecatet (2015) Zach Hicks - Ready or Not (2022 - premiere!)
