We are looking for motivated individuals who are seeking an opportunity to enroll in our PAID TRAINING PROGRAM to become a Strada Certified Residential Electric Installer at our brand new Asheville, NC location. Strada Services is growing, and we want you to be a part of it! What we provide for all our trainees: -Personal Protective Equipment -Basic hand tools at zero cost -All training literature available 24/7 electronically -Company vehicle after 12 weeks. -Job Stability -Starting pay $15 an hour Responsibilities: Measure, cut wiring, and lumber, using measuring instruments, hand, and power tools. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order. Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation. Examine electrical devices for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools. Dig trenches or holes for the installation of conduit or supports. Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to devices. Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a testing device. Break up concrete, using a chipping hammer, to facilitate installation, construction, or repair of equipment. Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to the worksite by hand. Construct panels, using power drills, saws, and hand tools. Raise, lower, or position equipment, tools, and materials Requisition materials, using warehouse requisition or release forms. All other duties as assigned by management Requirements: -At least 18 years of age or older -High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalency -Able to pass Basic Skills Test, and Drug Screen. -Ability to commit & complete up to a 17-week hands on paid training program. -Have your own reliable transportation with a valid driver license. -Be able to climb up & down ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. -Familiarity with hand tools -Commit to a work schedule of 40 hours a week M-F 7- 3-30.
