Found deceased cat around 3am this morning

this cat was hit by someone and was in the middle of the road, I carried it to where it is in the picture. people are horrible. it's on the corner of 16th and Market right by the Salem church of the Nazarene. these are the best pics I could get because there was also a big dog running around that street, not friendly. tried to run at me. wasn't on a leash and I couldn't tell what the breed was or any details really. the dog walked away headed towards the 7/11 that's right there on that corner, but that was hours ago. as of 30 mins before posting this, the cat is still where I left it. just thought I would share in case this cat is someone's fur baby. because of the dog I could not get close up pics, but that's probably for the best. the cat looked to be a calico or tortoise shell maybe? I'm not exactly sure. didn't get to see if it was male or female. if anyone might know the kitty or the owner please go get it and take it somewhere safe 😕
