Hello... my adopted mom is stuck in North Carolina in a worse-than-bad situation. She moved up there a few months ago, at a time when she was feeling well, as her cancer had been in remission for some time. Unfortunately, things with her friend were not quite as good as what she had been led to believe, and this has caused seemingly insurmountable damage to her health. Her mesothelioma is back with a vengeance and I have got to get her out of that stressful situation. I have a very limited income, as I am on disability myself, but I have got to get to her and get her home. She is too sick to fly and with gas prices the way they are... I am not sure what else to do. Please, if you can find it in your heart and have the ability to help, we would both appreciate any help immensely. I have checked into flying there and renting a uhaul van to drive her home, but it seems one-way vans are not available... I would have to rent a van and drive it out there and back, which would be at least $1000 in mileage, on top of the price of gas and rental fees.
