Great post!!!! One can only hope that these fools who think that it is a good thing for one party to use their power to silence their opponents will read this and wake up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I see what's happening in America right now and it's scary. What's happening right now, is the same thing that happened in my country, and the reason why I am an American today. I had to escape my former country and move to America, because I couldn't handle what the government is doing to our people. At first, the 'opposition party' finally took control of the government, after decades of protests and inflicting violence upon the nation. It's as if the people were finally tired of the violence and disruption from the radicals, so they elected the very people who were being violent. After the 'opposition party' took power, they immediately started making sure that they would be the ONLY party from then on. Everything they did was to enrichen themselves and make them more powerful. The first thing they did was go after members of the other party. Our former president was put in prison on false charges. Our military leaders were fired and some of them falsely arrested for espionage and 'resisting' the new regime. Anyone who wanted to run against our new leader in the next election was either killed or imprisoned. They took all the money from everyone. They took control of the banks, and they took control of all businesses (means of production) in the country. They took control of people's personal bank accounts. (IRS has this power already) They raised taxes to 4 or 5 times higher than they used to be, so everyone was struggling to get by and the middle class was virtually wiped out. It came down to a very poor country and citizens, with a very rich, powerful government and a handful of billionaires at the top. After they had all the money and controlled everything like food, clothing, housing, etc., they started to persecute civilians for complaining. Anyone who supported the former government, or anyone who voiced dislike for the new government was punished, killed, or 'disappeared'. I see this happening in America right now and it scares the hell out of me. We have a political party that has taken total control of the federal government. They are now going after their opposition, trying to eliminate Trump's chances of running again, because they are scared of him and his influence. They are going to hire 87,000 IRS agents, so they can go after everyone that disagrees with them and tax us to death. Remember when Barack Obama used the IRS against Conservative groups? His IRS chief Lois Lerner was gifted with a luxurious retirement after that terrible abuse of government power. The entire Democratic party has been going after Donald Trump for almost 6 years now. They are also attacking Trump's supporters and pretty much anyone else they see as 'too conservative'. It won't be long, before America becomes just like the very place that I escaped from 2 decades ago. These Democrats are not doing any favors for anyone in this country. They are going after total control of everything and everyone. I can see how they are now on an all-out mission to dominate this country and enslave or imprison everyone that doesn't agree with them. The Democratic party is now the communist party. Someday, I can see that I may have to escape America and move somewhere else, but I have no idea what country would be better at this point.
