True Southern food has a tendency to be misrepresented outside the city and town lines of it's birthplaces. Chef Kevin Gillespie ((Restaurateur, Author, Top Chef, MeatEater, James Beard) was raised amongst century old recipes and traditions in the familial setting of the Georgia heartland .
On August 28th, Kevin will team up with Chef Christian Hayes and his team at The Garrison, including Chef de Cuisine Mike Levesque and Sous Chef Shawn Fitzgerald , to bring deep rooted southern cuisine to a Maine dining room, using Maine ingredients and Maine Chefs as a conduit to an indulgent education in authentic Southern cuisine .
It will be a truly special Sunday supper. When you buy tickets - you buy your table for 6 people. The meal will be served family style, and is meant to be shared and enjoyed amongst those closest to you. Tickets do not include beverages.
All profits will be donated to Kevin's foundation, Defend Southern Food, providing much needed meals to food insecure Atlanta schoolchildren and their families.
