- Almost 1 of 5 teachers will ?spend $1000+ to make sure their students have essential ?supplies - 1 of 4 teachers will spend more than $750 of their own money during the 2022-23 school year - On average, elementary school teachers receive about $11 per student from their schools’ budgets, but they spend an additional $33 out of pocket on each student Three non-profit organizations have partnered to support local teachers at the 1st annual back to school teachers' supply giveaway. Watering Our Seeds, Brosette Sports Academy, and Back to Basics will distribute supplies and care packages to teachers in a drive thru giveaway on August 20, 2022 from 1:00 - 3pm at the Reimagine Women's Center located at 7600 Airline Hwy.
