DCS is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Roadway Manager. This position is responsible for the Asset Maintenance Business Unit project’s day-to-day maintenance, servicing, repairs of roads, and other infrastructure assets. This individual will be responsible for the management and operations of one section or area within a contract, including the safety of any staff, subcontractor, and the traveling public. General responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: develop and execute work plans for the maintenance and operations with quality and economy within the timeliness requirements of the contract documents within assigned area; manage technicians, specialty work crews, and subcontractor staff working within assigned area including responsibility for monitoring work progress, conformance to plan, work zone and other set up and other aspects of safety; ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of fleet and equipment inventory and is in sufficient quantity to handle area maintenance needs; be available to respond to during business and non-business to concerns, accidents, and incidents; coordinate, conduct, and /or participate in the project-level safety trainings, committee activities, worksite assessments, toolbox talks, etc.; demonstrate a sound understanding of the contract requirements and customer’s objectives; responsibility for the proper management and inventory of materials and supplies; ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submission of all assigned reporting documentation as well as all assigned of subordinates Requirements: • 3 - 5 years’ previous management or supervisory experience; infrastructure industry preferred • High School Diploma / GED required; Associates degree, vocational certificate, or equivalent industry experience preferred • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word • Proficient knowledge in the use of manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and operating equipment • Valid Driver License • Have strong leadership skills • Be able to comply with Company Drug and Alcohol Policy Certificates & Licenses: • Advance Maintenance of Traffic preferred • First Aid / CPR preferred • NPDES Stormwater Illicit Discharge, Detection, and Elimination Training preferred
