DCS is seeking highly motivated entry-level to crew leader Roadway Technician positions. In general these positions are responsible for the Asset Maintenance Business Unit project’s day-to-day maintenance, servicing, repairs of roads, and other infrastructure assets such as roadways, signs, guardrails, fences, and vegetation per standards in the contract and as directed by the supervisor. General responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: demonstrating safe Maintenance of Traffic with the use of cones, barrels, barricades, message/arrow boards, temporary signage, etc.; maintaining and repairing transportation assets such as potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, delineators, etc.; ensures a clean appearance of highways and medians through litter and debris removal and disposal; maintains functionality of slopes, berms, culverts, drains, etc. through use of shovels and other hand or power tools and equipment; controls vegetation appearance and growth through use of lawn mowing equipment, hand or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers and other methods; required to be available for emergency response rotations as needed for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays; and perform all other duties as assigned. In addition, all DCS employees demonstrate a positive safety culture and produce quality workmanship by performing responsibilities in full compliance with all company and governing agency policies, procedures, and guidelines; and report and document any suspicious activity, incidents, work needs, and safety concerns.
