Description

COVID delayed us for a couple of years, but we are back!! Come join the Lancaster-Melton Peacekeepers' Civitan Club for our Second Annual Pub Crawl to benefit Wreathes Across America. Join us September 10, 2022 for an afternoon of fun for a great cause. Check-in starts at The Dotte Spot at 1:00 p.m. with the bus leaving at 2:00. The pub crawl will stop at Chicago's, Breit's, 913 and end back at The Dotte Spot. Tickets are $50 per person and include a pub crawl t-shirt designed by Chicago's own Laura Westfall, snacks and refreshments at Breit's, and a seat on the bus. If you can't join us, but would still like a shirt, they are available for $25 each. The Lancaster-Melton Peacekeepers' Civitan Club was created in memory of Detective Brad Lancaster and Captain Dave Melton of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. Both Detective Lancaster and Captain Melton lost their lives in the line of duty in 2016. Wyandotte County Sheriff's Deputy Theresa King was one of the founding members of the organization and we work to honor her memory along with the memory of Deputy Patrick Roherer, both of whom lost their lives in the line of duty in 2018. Our organization has three missions: First - Work on projects in support of the police. Second - Work on projects, including partnering with Wreaths Across America, in support of American Military Veterans. Third - Promoting the missions of Civitan International, which includes promoting volunteerism in the community and and helping people with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to improve our community, nation and the memories of the heroes who gave their lives in the line of their duties as Law Enforcement Officers and Military Veterans in the region.
