Looking for Bio family: Andrioff

Hello, I am searching for the birth family of my mother. We live in California. My mother passed away in March 2020. She was born in April 1957 and adopted through an "off the books" sort of transaction. The only information I was given is the family name, Andrioff. It is my understanding that her biological mother may have been very ill and have passed not long after my mother was born. I apologize if this seems really far fetched but I am my mother's only child(I am now 44) and have always wanted to know more about our biological background. This is my first attempt at any sort of searching. Thank you to anyone who may be able to offer assistance.
