Legal Assistance of Olmsted County’s annual fundraiser will be held at The Rochester Art Center and Patio this year on Friday, October 14, 2022! Join us for the cocktail hour and chef's Italian charcuterie board at 5:00 pm. The pasta bar will be open from 6:00-7:30 pm, and drinks will be available at the cash bar. Driftless Jazz Ensemble will, once again, provide the background music to help you enjoy the evening while you support LAOC by bidding on silent and live auction items. Have fun playing the odds at the charitable gaming tables! The Silent Auction will be available for bidding in early September via ClickBid; bidding will be available using ClickBid at the event as well. We encourage you to register for ClickBid in advance of the event at LAOC.cbo.io. If you have attended one of the past two fundraisers and previously registered through ClickBid, you do not need to register again. Even if you can't attend the event, you can still bid on the many incredible silent auction baskets!! At the event both the Live Auction and the Mission Moment will available through ClickBid, so please bookmark the ClickBid web page on your phone for easy accessibility. Please join us at the Art Center and Patio for a fun, casual, indoor/outdoor event and help us raise funds for our low-income neighbors who need civil legal aid. Why should you come? Besides the great food and music? Because civil legal aid makes a difference in this community. LAOC provides direct representation in the areas of family law, domestic violence law and housing law. It also has a robust volunteer attorney program that provides many different types of no-cost legal clinics, such as a legal clinic for the Women's Shelter clients and a legal clinic for low-income seniors. Legal aid provides your friends, your neighbors and your co-workers who are disadvantaged because of poverty or disability with an equitable voice in the legal system. LAOC helps the legal system process cases in a more efficient and effective manner. All of this benefits the entire community. Legal Assistance of Olmsted County improves legal outcomes and stability for families and individuals living in poverty. The demand for civil legal aid continues to be extremely high. Individual tickets are $100. Sponsorships with complimentary tickets are available at several levels. Sponsors will be acknowledged at the fundraiser and on LAOC's website. Please consider a sponsorship at any level. Your support makes an enormous difference in stabilizing families in this community. Last year, Legal Assistance of Olmsted County provided legal aid through direct representation, the Volunteer Attorney Program and clinics to over 1,100 individuals. Your support at this year’s fundraiser ensures that our services will continue.
