Campus Center Ballroom 108.3/4 Join Boston College Professor of History Guy Beiner as he offers a critical examination of a century of remembering, forgetting, and rediscovering the great influenza pandemic of 1918-1919, and how it influences our perception of the current COVID pandemic. Guy Beiner is the Sullivan Chair in Irish Studies at Boston College. He specializes in the historical study of remembering and forgetting, and is the editor most recently of Pandemic Re-Awakenings: The Forgotten and Unforgotten ‘Spanish" Flu of 1918-1919 (Oxford UP 2022).
