Help Needed on Livestock Farm

POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a part-time (20-30 hrs/week) laborer to help for the rest of our season on our livestock farm. We are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible and work through November. Work hours will generally be early mornings through late afternoons 4-10 hours/day. Responsibilities will vary from day to day, but may include: Feeding, watering, and maintenance of chickens, pigs, and sheep Crating poultry Moving animal fencing Slaughtering and packaging of poultry Assisting with general maintenance of farm buildings and equipment COMPENSATION: $17/hr. Free meat and eggs. Pay is on the books. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work through November Some background in livestock farming and agriculture is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person(s). Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and days of the week Must be comfortable working in a slaughterhouse.
