Objective: A Quality Control Inspector is primarily responsible for the inspection, quality assessment and finish preparation to the customer of any garment produced, while meeting guidelines set by American Roots Wear Management for specific projects and goals. Essential functions: • Responsible for inspecting garment quality and not damaging the product while inspecting. • Ability to appropriately identify and mark errors made in production and notify inspection lead if trends are identified, ensuring immediate feedback to production team • Maintains personal work area and folds garments neatly to keep work moving effectively. • Gain knowledge of garments being produced and stitch quality expectations. • Complete work efficiently and accurately while meeting quotas with minimum re-work. • Assist others in your team, as needed or requested by management. • Willingness and desire to help achieve daily goals • Ability to respond and follow through with detailed instruction from management. • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and abide by safety regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Competencies: • Hardworking and self-motivated; with ability to work at a fast pace with high accuracy and minimal supervision. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to communicate with other team members and management concerning problems and possible solutions. • Responds and follows through with detailed instruction from management. • Ability to manage time effectively, be focused, motivated, and organized. Physical Requirements: This position is mainly sedentary, with a significant amount of repeated reaching by, extending hand(s) and/or arm(s) in any direction. Ability to visually inspect all work for defects, stand, walk, push, pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. may be required. Standing for up to 8 hours per day may be required.
