To all the people who are claiming the govt is out to get him and that this is all a political conspiracy started by the left after the FBI executed a legal search of Trump’s residence: In 2017 Trump signed a bill that increased the penalty from 1 to 5 years for illegally removing classified materials. He also stated that if you do it, the FBI would come for you. Trump was also the one to appoint the current FBI director. He knowingly committed that crime and that is why they searched his property. They did not issue a subpoena because they knew he would either not comply or would try to destroy the evidence. Just as he has done so many times. So a search warrant was issued and executed legally. Trump believes he is above the law. His arrogance and hypocrisy will not allow him to admit otherwise. So it is real simple, don’t do the crime if you are not willing to do the time. On an additional note, in 2016 he constantly rallied that taking the 5th amendment was cowardly and only done by guilty people trying to hide. Today in New York, at his in person deposition, he pleaded the 5th. That says a lot about him. Wake up people. Don’t believe his lies and the lies of his minions.
