Betta Fish Really Needs Help

Description

*He was in this cup for mere seconds to take pics* I rescued this betta from a bad situation but I'm going to high school and college in a few weeks. I feel terrible but I won't have the time, meds or money for his long-term care. He's a DTHM which breeds spine deformities in it. On top of that he's a Short Body meaning his spine is short and/or kinked in several spots. He has cloudy eye, had positive buoyancy disorder and 2 surgeries so far; 1 to fix broken and fused fin rays which impaired swimming, the other to fix buoyancy - both were successful but now he has negative buoyancy from the the procedure. In 10 yrs of fishkeeping I've never had negative buoyancy so don't know how to cure it. He isn't food-picky but has a hard time getting it. He's a disabled fish that needs someone with patience, money and research to care for him. Shortened spines aren't fixable but long-term disability. It may impair swimming, eating or other normal day-to-day betta activities. It squishes his swim bladder so he may have buoyancy issues again. A small $1 rehoming fee ensures a good fit. Pick him up in wolf ranch (I can't drive for my health). I'm available most days/hours. Serious inquiries only!. Hope someone with a heart sees this and if so, thank you for reading :)
