Two Dollar Horse is looking for a saxophone player

Established Lancaster, PA alternative rock band, Two Dollar Horse, is looking to add a 5th member. We recently released our first EP in July 2022. For the recording, we brought in a trumpet player and a saxophone player as studio musicians to add some extra flair to a few of the songs (Rodeo, Aphilia, F.S.P.G.D.). We love the way horns sound over our music, so we decided to add a full time 5th member to the band to help us reproduce some of the horns from the album during live shows and to write new songs with us in the future. We’re looking for a saxophone player in our age range (27-37) who is also comfortable playing synths/keys to fill in some space in songs when the saxophone isn’t called for. Our version of rock music balances the use of catchy hooks and interesting time signatures and scales. That being said, the best fit for a 5th member will be someone knowledgeable in music theory who can quickly pick up some of the more intricate parts of our songs by ear. The 4 of us are very dedicated to taking the project to the next level - reaching a bigger audience, playing regular gigs, touring, working on an LP, etc. so our ideal 5th member is someone who shares those goals with us and wants to become a permanent member of the band in the long run. We already have 4 shows lined up for September and are planning on booking 3-4 shows each month for the foreseeable future. We practice in Lancaster city on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.
