Durbin Creek Nursery is a locally-owned, full scale nursery with a large selection of shrubs, annuals, perennials, trees, sod, mulch, soil, and more! We serve homeowners and landscaping companies alike. We are looking for a Garden Center Associate. Looking for someone who can work full-time, loves being outdoors and loves plants. This position will be responsible for maintenance of our live plants (annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs) and upkeep of our sales areas. This will include watering, pruning, re-potting, sweeping, and other minor tasks. We take pride in getting to know our customers. So as a garden center associate will need to have exceptional customer service and enjoy talking to customers. Job Requirements: -Must be able to be on your feet for extended hours -Must be able to work in all weather conditions. After all, this is Florida! (extreme heat, rain, etc. ) -Must be able to lift/carry 40 pounds for an extended period of time -Must have some plant knowledge -Must have day-time and weekend availability *Pay based on experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $16.50 per hour Benefits Include: -Employee discount -Paid time off Schedule: -8 hour shifts 8am - 5pm -Overtime/weekend availability -Must have reliable transportation to and from Nursery in Saint Johns, FL 32259: Education: -High school or equivalent (Preferred)
