There are multiple laws, covering the mishandling of government information. There  is one that Trump himself amended during his tenure in the Oval Office. Tucked into a bill Trump signed into law in January 2018 was a provision increasing the punishment for knowingly removing classified materials with the intent to retain them at an “unauthorized location. He did this because of his campaign against Hillary Clinton. Before Trump signed this bill the penalty could be up to 1 year in prison. After Trump amended the bill, the penalty is now up to 5 years in prison. 2018 Trump could be putting 2022 Trump away for a longer period. By the way. There was an investigation into Hillary Clinton. No evidence was found to support such a charge.
