BIG BAND FEMALE VOCALIST/SINGER NEEDED

We are a community service 17 member big band, established in 2017 and located in the central Dallas area. We play a variety of musical styles to include Jazz, Swing, Latin Jazz, Latin, and Ballroom Dance. All members are unpaid volunteers. Our goals are: 1) to provide music to charitable and community groups or organizations who ordinarily would not have access to the entertainment we provide, and 2) to maintain and improve our musicianship. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas. We are seeking a female vocalist to fill the position of understudy/sub for our current vocalist for both rehearsals and performances. Your range should be contralto (eg. Diana Krall). You should be familiar with working with standard charts, but sight singing is not a requirement. You would be asked to fill in at rehearsals and eventually performances.
