Position details
Splice fiber optic cables in the air, underground, and indoors.
Run new lines and/or fix existing lines.
Label and tag all equipment and cabling according to Network Engineering Diagrams.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
Interface with customers and carriers in support of service delivery and assurance.
Here’s what we’re looking for
Attention to detail regarding setting up splice locations, termination points, and general fiber optic construction.
The work is typically performed outdoors, but indoor work may also be required.
The ability to life heavy objects and follow written and verbal instructions.
High school diploma or GED, no fiber optics experience necessary.
Someone who takes initiative and has the willingness to learn new skills.
