I'm an artist wanting to do a photography series of people who have chosen to own a dog considered a "dangerous breed" (pitbull, german shepherd, doberman, rottweiler, dogo argentino, cane corso, etc.). I would like to take a portrait of you and your dog and perhaps ask you a few questions about it. For clarification, I don't believe in "dangerous breeds" (I think people are the ones who make dogs dangerous), but as someone who has always been attracted to these kinds of dogs I am interested in the people who choose to go against the stigma and why. This is a passion project for me, so I won't be able to pay you. You will be given the photos of course. If you would like to see examples of my work, I'm more than happy to send some through. I'm also willing to travel to you if you live outside of the NYC hub. Thanks for reading!
