We are looking for the right individual to join our team at the Highlands Condominium Association in Tacoma, WA. The right candidate will, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, accept diverse maintenance duties. These include, but are not limited to, repair, cleaning, installing, painting, constructing or any other maintenance function as required. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. Work within expense limits established. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. Complete grounds work as directed (may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas) Responsible for cleaning and maintaining common hallways and laundry facilities. Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees. Assure safety standards are used per company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines. Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined. Requirements: Persons applying for or accepting this position must have; Technical skills necessary to operate equipment, small machinery, power tools, and take direction and perform the tasks as assigned. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a consistent basis. Must be familiar with ladders, roofs, necessary materials and tasks. Communication proficiency in the technical aspects of assignments as well as being able to communicate effectively with customers and staff. Results and deadline driven Takes initiative in determining what is needed to perform assigned tasks. Salary/Schedule: Position to be filled will be paid $15.00 an hour for 30 hrs. a week, Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, or 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Daily hours can be flexible if necessary but must be willing to work 4 hours a day. Weekends and holidays off. Job Type: Part-time Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
