Description
What does effective collaboration and meeting structure have in common? Intentional meeting structures that go beyond the status quo can greatly accelerate internal and cross-agency collaboration. If you are concerned with how many meetings (or months or years) it takes to produce visible and meaningful results through collaboration, join us for an immersive tour of Liberating Structures. Liberating Structures are microstructures that enhance communication and trust which can be used in many meeting scenarios to complement conventional practices. Liberating Structures are easily learned techniques used by novice and advanced meeting conveners worldwide that engage collaborators quickly. They allow participants to break out of traditional meeting practices with activities that provide space for every voice to be heard and also unlocks creativity and buy-in while providing structure to meet your objectives. The 30+ Liberating Structures tools scale and adapt to staff meetings, board rooms, program design teams, town hall summits, kick off new partnerships, plan initiatives and more. This session is for anyone who takes part in staff or board meetings, program design teams, partnerships, planning committees or initiatives. You do not have to be a facilitator or have facilitation experience to attend this event. All are welcome. Come to this session to: Explore what works and doesn’t work in a status quo meeting structure Learn the basic principles of Liberating Structures and how they can be applied Experiment with hands on experience using Liberating Structures Details NMC University Center – Room 204 Light refreshments provided Photography: Photos may be taken during this event.
