This small group workshop is designed to support artists getting and keeping gigs. Whether you’re self-managed or managing an artist, we will go over the proper steps to booking gigs for individuals at all different levels in their career. Discussing best practices and experiences on who to contact to book the gig, how to pitch yourself, and what kinds of tools you need to prepare for the show once is secured. After you get booked, what do you do next? We also will be focusing on how to properly soundcheck, communicate with the front of house, and display green room etiquette. During this workshop we will teach you how to build an electronic press kit, what should be included in your first email to a talent buyer, negotiating your price, when does exposure actually pay, and more. We will also address basic booking terms like tech riders and stage plots, and discuss other materials that may also help you prepare for gigs. Learn how to make your brand stand out from all the other artists competing for the same slot.
