Description

Drumroll please, cut the music, and kindly hold all applause until the end. We are back and better than ever, and are looking to wind down the dog days of summer with our 4th Annual Foxhole Fundraiser to Benefit Cancer Care and Research next Saturday, August 20th. Last year, with your overwhelming generosity, we raised $42,000. That is a staggering amount, and a number that Mike and I could never dream of when we first started looking for ways to morally justify our long nights at the Foxhole four years ago. This year, we have a special twist. We’ve invited Alex who lives in Yarmouth and was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2009 at 12 years-old. Without stealing his thunder, I will say he has an incredible story and has been an instrumental inspiration for many. We are hopeful he will be in attendance and a portion of the proceeds will go toward his benefit. Mike and I will cover all the setup and venue costs, so ALL of your donations will go directly to the anti-cancer cause. Raffles, silent auction, you name it – we got it. We’ll keep this page updated as more prizes come in, so keep your eyes peeled and your pockets flush. Please let us know if you have items you'd like to donate to be part of the raffle or silent auction. Your generosity in the past with these items have made the event that much more exciting. Remember that our beloved Foxhole is a CASH bar, so while the weight of your Amex may impress your Tinder date, it won’t cut it for us. Bring some cold hard Benjamins for the kids. You can also donate outside of the event, simply by Venmoing @Michael-Bresnahan. If the profile image is the most handsome guy you’ve ever seen, you found the right account. Tickets will go quickly, given limited occupancy of the event. To close, the unfortunate reality is that cancer rates are strong and growing. We all know someone affected, and for an alarming number of us, that person is in our immediate family. Bottom line: Don’t do it for us, do it for the kids. -Miah and Mike
