Jacob Roe thinks he has his life all figured out until a nearly fatal car accident sends him down another path. After serving his time in prison, Jacob performs community service at a local church where he gets to put his natural talent for public speaking to use. He becomes so successful within the church that he attracts the attention of Bishop Elmore Hilton, the king of television evangelists. Jacob signs up with Bishop Hilton and quickly gains the success and fortune he thinks he wants and deserves. But as quickly as it comes, his success starts to slip away as he moves farther and farther away from what truly brings him happiness: family. Jacob goes from feeling like he has no control over his life to losing complete control of it. The only way for him to win it back is to learn the one thing that’s eluded him his entire life: that it’s the simplest things in life, faith and family, that truly makes us rich.
