The increasing number of hate crimes, poverty levels, and areas of need for India's Muslims and minorities is at an all time high; and even worse 75 years post partition. It is only through our unity and your support can we bring to bridge the gaps. We want to strive towards an India where healthcare is affordable and quality education is an accessible right. Guest Speakers: Dr. Amirullah Khan Dr Amir Ullah Khan is a Development economist, former Civil servant and Professor of Economics. He teaches at the Indian School of Business and also at NALSAR in Hyderabad. Dr Khan has previously worked as Head of strategy at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as Vice Chancellor at the Glocal University in Saharanpur, Executive Director at Encyclopedia Britannica, Adjunct Professor at the Edith Cowan University and Director at India Development Foundation. Amir is a member of the Governing boards at Digital Empowerment Foundation, Indian China Economic Council, Gyan Shaala, the Education and Health foundation and the Welham Girls School Dehradun. He has been a member of the Union Government appointed Kundu Commission and also of the Telangana Government's Sudhir Commission. Sr. Soofia Ahmed She graduated from Elmhurst College with honors, majoring in secondary education, English literature, and intercultural studies with a social justice focus and a middle school history teaching certification. Dedicated to the pillars of service and education, Soofia Ahmed has led teaching initiatives for street children in India, taught in UK Islamic schools, and has taught in both public and private schools in the USA. She has also spoken at Amnesty International, National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and Islamic Society of North America conferences. She was invited to the White House by Hillary Clinton as part of the Generation Change youth initiative. She was both volunteer and program coordinator for Indian Muslim Relief and Charities’ Summer Volunteer Program. She was invited to Oprah Winfrey and Good Morning America shows to speak regarding issues of faith.
