The North Carolina Black Film Festival, Speller Street Films, and Black Kung Fu Cinema are presenting a special CAN I KICK IT? movie screening experience of the Bruce Lee classic ENTER THE DRAGON in Wilmington, North Carolina on October 15, 2022 at Jengo's Playhouse. In addition to the film itself, other elements will be involved to help create a more unique and entertaining experience for patrons. This includes: 10 min. martial arts demonstration by a localmartial artist.DJ set prior to the film by DJ Bigg B of Coast 97.3.Local food truck featuring afro-asian themed food.ABOUTCAN I KICK IT? is an innovative film experience, produced by SHAOLIN JAZZ, that caters to the lovers of martial arts flicks, music and everything else in between. At the event, they screen a cult-classic martial arts film scored live (scene-by-scene) by SHAOLIN JAZZ co-founder DJ 2-Tone Jones who mixes elements of Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz and more. 2-Tone also uses an array of techniques and sound bites to accentuate different moments in the film ranging from aggressive fight scenes to subtle love scenes. In addition to the film, there are other elements involved that make CAN I KICK IT? a fun, interactive experience, including movie trivia with prizes, specialty fortune cookies, and SHAOLIN JAZZ artwork on display.
